Interested in a second community cluster? Let us know by June 14.

January 2012 marked the first use of Mills, UD’s first community cluster. Mills represented a partnership between 50 faculty investors and Information Technologies in funding and operating a general-purpose, high performance computing (HPC).

If you are interested in having a second, cost-shared UD community cluster for your research, contact Dan Grim, Chief Technology Officer, by June 14, 2013. Help us understand your research needs and level of commitment.

The newly established Research Computing Advisory Committee (RCAC) had its first meeting on November 7. The RCAC is a follow-up committee to the Research Computing Task Force (RCTF) that completed its work last year.

The RCAC will focus on all aspects of research computing, broadening the discussion beyond high performance computing (HPC), which was RCTF’s primary focus. HPC will continue to be an important issue within the RCAC deliberations.
