IT is beginning to notify people using Windows XP on the UD network about the consequences of staying with Windows XP after April 8.
As of April 1, the legacy voice mail system that was used with the legacy Centrex telephone service at the University of Delaware will be taken down.
UD clients who are not on the new voice over IP network (VoIP) and who access the legacy voice mail by dialing x4000 will no longer be able to access messages on this system after April 1.
Microsoft has announced that as of April 8, Windows XP will no longer be supported.
According to Microsoft, after that date, "your XP computer[s] will no longer receive automatic updates."
UD faculty can participate in local and global events March 10-15 to learn more about open education.
