UD students use iPads to study the presidential election
Students enrolled in Road to the Presidency followed the 2012 election with iPads, thanks to a UD Information Technologies Transformation Grant.
IT hosts third UnConference for UD tech staff on Jan. 23
University of Delaware Information Technologies (IT) will host an IT Professionals UnConference from 8:30 to noon on Wednesday, Jan. 23, in several rooms on the first floor of Gore Hall.
The event is open to any UD staff who would benefit from discussing technology issues with colleagues from IT or other campus departments. A light breakfast will be included; therefore, registration is recommended.
An unconference is a collaborative meeting with an open agenda: participants propose topics, vote on the topics to be discussed during the event’s breakout sessions, then lead and contribute to the discussions.
American Museum of Natural History's Steiner to address Winter Faculty Institute Jan. 22
This year’s University of Delaware Winter Faculty Institute will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Marriott’s Courtyard Newark at UD. The keynote speaker is Robert Steiner, director of online teacher education programs at the American Museum of Natural History. Steiner’s talk and workshop will be of interest to all faculty, particularly those who are involved with the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Laboratory, digital humanities, teacher education and online education.
