Stelzer to discuss transforming student learning through technology
Tim Stelzer, research associate professor of physics at the University of Illinois, has two distinct areas of development to share with University of Delaware faculty -- his approach to teaching and his use of clickers. He will present on each of these topics in separate sessions on Friday, Dec. 9.
Stelzer has been heavily involved with the Physics Education Group at Illinois, where he has led the development and implementation of tools for assessing the effectiveness of educational innovations in introductory courses and expanding the use of Web technology in physics pedagogy.
New campus printing kiosks match the way students work
University of Delaware Information Technologies (IT) and Residence Life have deployed new printing kiosks in two residence halls to make it easier for students to print their work, no matter where a student might be on campus.
The new kiosks in Christiana Commons and the Rodney Commons fit with how we’ve seen students use computing and our network.
November IT Activity Report Available
The November IT Activity report, covering our activity from September 1 - October 31, is now available at http://www.udel.edu/it/activity-reports.html in both HTML and PDF format. Highlights include news about Exchange, Research Computing, upgrades to services, and lots more.
IT Customer Satisfaction Survey now available
To improve services, each year IT asks members of the University community to share their thoughts about the support IT provides. We sent a survey to all faculty and staff on Nov. 1. IT invites any University faculty and staff who have not yet done so to take a few minutes and complete the short IT customer satisfaction survey.
