LearnIT Express Topics: UD Dropbox

Last week's topic, the UD Dropbox service, received a lot of attention. Participants who chatted during the session commented on how easy it is to share files with our Dropbox service. They also had some good questions. For example: Can email messages be stored in the Dropbox so you don't have to retype them? The answer is no, however, you can upload a list of email addresses from a text file or CSV file (Comma Separated Values). CSV files are often used as a simple way to transfer a large volume of spreadsheet or database information between programs, without worrying about special file types.

If you have a list of email addresses, last name, and first name in Excel, save using the file type .txt or .csv. If you choose csv, the fields (address, last name, first name) will be separated by comas. You can then use that list multiple times with the UD Dropbox.
